How much time could AI save your business?

Pick your industry, put in a few numbers and switch automations on and off. Nobody gets replaced: the hours come back to the people you already have, so they can take on more work.

1. Your industry

2. Your business

€

Turnover for the last 12 months, roughly.

Full-time people, including you.

Emails, booking, chasing, data entry, reports. Set to a typical level for your industry; adjust it to match your week.

More assumptions

Wages plus employer costs.

The rest goes to better service, training or a shorter week. Only counts if you have the demand.

3. What to automate

Switch each one on or off. Hours shown are per week for your team.

    How the calculator works

Every figure comes from the numbers above, so you can see exactly what drives it.

    1. Admin hours = team size × hours per week × time spent on admin.
    2. Hours back = admin hours × each switched-on automation's share of admin × how much of that task it takes over. Coverage is set between 40% and 80%, because a person still checks the work.
    3. Extra people's worth of time = hours back ÷ hours per person.
    4. Team capacity = (productive hours + hours back put into paid work) ÷ productive hours today.
    5. Revenue potential = hours back put into paid work × 46 working weeks × what you earn per productive hour today. It only applies if the demand is there.
    6. Value of time freed = hours back × 46 weeks × cost of an hour. This is time your people get back, not wages cut.

These are planning estimates, not promises. The free audit replaces them with figures from your own processes.

    The assumptions behind the numbers

    • People using generative AI at work save about 5.4% of their hours, roughly 2.2 hours a week, before any process is automated: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
    • An AI assistant raised issues resolved per hour by 14% for support staff, and by 35% for the least experienced: NBER, Generative AI at Work.
    • Writing tasks were finished 40% faster with quality up 18%: MIT study.
    • Knowledge workers spend 58% of their day on "work about work" such as chasing, searching and status updates: Asana Anatomy of Work 2023.
    • Today's AI and automation could take on activities that fill 60–70% of employees' time: McKinsey.
    • Only 17.2% of small Irish businesses used AI in 2025, against 57.7% of large ones: CSO.
